Excellent job! What did you use to cut out the parts?
I changed your video from a link to an embedded video so that people can watch it from within the site (using the insert/edit embedded media button). Did you make this from plans?

Hey Tyler,
Thanks for the change thats cool. NO PLANS I just started building it one day there is over 100 hours now. I'm trying to get it finshed soon. Little more machine work. Than to the sandblaster and paint. 6 x 48 part took most of the time so far. The cuts where made with O/A Torch.
Thanks Vernon
PS Where is all of the 2011 members at. You are the only one on here?

Wow, how did you get such clean cuts with a cutting torch? The few times I've used a torch my parts came out melted along the edges and looked terrible. Yours look like you cut them out with a cnc plasma cutter! You must have crazy skills my friend (or I have none, that's probably more like it)
As far as the 2k members go, I think a lot of them sign up so that they can download plans, but aren't necessarily interested in participating in the forum. But I had to make the plans a members-only option because I had a lot of bots downloading thousands of copies a week, which took up a lot of bandwidth (which is expensive for me from a hosting standpoint), and made the site run slow. Don't ask me why someone would create a bot program to download PDF files, it doesn't make sense to me.
I also have the site setup so that I members don't get a lot of annoying emails. If I had a daily or weekly digest that automatically told members that there were new posts I think a lot more people would participate in the forum. It's a fine line I'm walking – trying to make the site a resource without being a spammy nuisance. But I may have to make some changes eventually so that people know when there are new posts.
We do have several active members though, including you now! So thanks for that, your contributions to the forum really are appreciated.

Hey Tyler,
Well I was born with a torch in hand
Not really but both my dad and grandfather did this kind of work. So you can see the history around me. Oh they where both very good to. Great teachers.
You will also get my support on this site. Wish others would do the same. I have many more projects to show and will post them time to time.
Thank you for this site Vernon

Tyler,
Turn down the heat and add more Oxygen will help the round corner. You are melting the corners before you blast threw the pcs. Hope this helps. Also clean torch tip often to get the best cuts.

Hi Vernon,
While I don't weld or cut with a torch [ever smell charred Mammoth fur??? :) YUK!!], I'll try to remember your tips for getting clean, smooth cuts. Those are the sort of practical tips we beginners can certainly use. From your range of creations, it appears that you have lots of experience to share with us novices. Looking forward to seeing more.

Mr. Vernon, all I can say is "WOW"!! Your 'work' borders on 'art'.
Not only is it sturdy and useful, but 'aesthetic'.
Seriously, looking at your work makes me want to go the extra mile and debur, clean up the edges, and smooth off my welds.
Thanks for your inspiration.
Regards, Al

I hope to show everyone the finsh sander soon working hard to finsh. The little details take so much time but don't want to rush it now.
Thanks again Al
