OfflineThe Dro made it back to the Dro Pros shop today they have it repaired and on it's way back. Todd said it appears to have a problem in the power supply board, he replaced the complete board.
He is going to see just what happened to the defective board later as he wanted to get the dro back to me as fast as possible, he couldn't find any burned components or smoke tracks etc. The bad part of all this is the 5 days for the thing to get there and maybe the 5 days to get it back.

OfflineAll the photos of my construction of this Kr-2 was taken before computers were popular. So all the photos are in an old album. I built my shop first 12'x18' then built the airplane from plans. All the fiberglass is laid up over foam cores that were first hand formed by sanding. building the plane started in Nov.1982 construction was finished by Aug.1984 I waited for a year for the FAA to come to inspect my plane before it's first flight. I lived in Linch,Wyoming a small oil field camp. The FAA office was in Helena, Montana. There was an FAA office in Casper,Wyoming but they couldn't do the inspections, they did do the first inspections on the wing spars before closing them, but after that there was a change in the FAA's area I fell into the Helena's office, so I had to wait.
Once inspected the first flight was in Aug1985 by my friend, I had no taildragger time and he did, he was also an instructor pilot. The first landing didn't go too good he stalled the plane 30' off and pancaked it on bending the gear, also breaking the rudder horn. I flew it next after repairs, and a couple of attempts of taking off and landing his Cessna 170. I didn't do very well in the 170 we took some adventures off into the sagebrush once too many times. His plane seems very slow to react to my inputs, anyway the Kr was quick on the controls, so I started to teach myself how to take off in a taildragger.
My first flight was with no one around lasted 30 minutes and I was scared big time! The first landing used all of the 5'000 ft dirt runway.
