Hello All,

I started out as a machinist in my father's shop while I went to school. That was over 30 years ago and I never got it out of my blood. Picked up the Atlas lathe below about 25 years ago and the generic mill/drill about 23 years ago.

I sure do miss a knee mill!

Been working as an engineer ever since. This is one small section of my shop. The rest is devoted to woodworking.

If you are interested in seeing my woodworking you can check it out here: http://lumberjocks.com/GaryK/projects

Hello Gary,

Welcome to Projects in Metal.  It is always great to have a real machinist join our ranks.

You have a nice looking shop with a real nice lathe and mill.  More pictures of shops are almost mandatory!

Also any pictures of cool (or not so cool) projects.

Hey Gary, welcome…

Looks like a nice shop- would like to see more photos.

I always get ideas from looking at what others have done.

I have squeezed a knee mill into my tiny space, but, I tell ya, it was tough!

Enjoy!
