Hi guy,

          my names matt and im a Fitter / First class machinist by trade , i currently work for a large mining company in the pilbara western australia , needed some insperation for when im bored at work saw this site and looks like you've done a great job setting it up ,

 

          hopefully i'll be able to contribute some my own projects in the comming months , have a few stored some where from yrs ago when i was an apprentie im sure some people will love ,

Welcome Matt! I'd definitely like to see what you made as an apprentice. A friend of mine who went through his apprenticeship 30+ years ago made a scaled down 4-cylinder ford engine for his "capstone" project. He didn't have to make every piece, each person was responsible for making a part (or parts) for everyone else in the program. So everyone really had to work to close tolerances so that their part would fit the part that some other guy made. I guess the engines ran when all was said and done. 

Anyway, it'd be fun to see what you made when learning your trade. And again, welcome!
