Hello all.

Im a Millwright apprentice from Ontario Canada. Stumbled across this site while I was suposed to be studying and ended up spending a few hours.

I don't have any machines at home yet but use them at work.

Current projects are:

Raising 3 young kids: so far so good.

School: about half way done

Rebuilding a motorcycle engine in my basement: Work in progress but it's beena while since I've had time to touch it. (The bike also provides plenty of opportunity for smaller machining projects.)

Plan to build a Powered Hacksaw: Still trying to assemble the components and required steel. I want profesional apearance and performance but have set the goal to spending $0 on the project. It's an exercise in patients but it's amazing what you can drag out of the scrap bin.

Welcome to the site, Rusty.  What part of Ontario are you from?  I still identify as being from Scarborough, even though I live in Vancouver these days…

Welcome Rusty!

I'd like to see that power hacksaw build. Any chance you'll have time to take pictures and document the build?

I'll see what I can do. At the moment it's just a few pieces of angle iron.

No problem and no pressure. It'd just be fun to see the project go together.
