Hi All

Just arrived and still looking around have a lathe and mill hoping to learn from you people.

Work a lot in wood, metal is the start of another journey for me.

I like scratch building  models  of construction equipment and trucks and such like.

I live on the Central Coast New South Wale Australia,  are there any other Aussies here.

On the Woodwork forum that I subscribe too there are quite a few people from the States

Hope to enjoy the journey with you

Hi Ray
This is where I get my plans from http://www.toysandjoys.com/  I have built a vintage Seagraves fire engine and
have started building a road grader I have built some other cars and trucks
that are more child friendly I have two grandsons 3&5yrs so a lot of the
vehicles go to their house.
I have a couple of other books that I am going to build from they are MAKING WOODEN MECHANICAL MODELS/ MAKING MORE MECHANICAL MODELS both by Alan and Gill Bridgewater and the other book is Making Mechanical Marvels in Wood by Ray Levy.
I would have no trouble building these models in wood but my skill level is not there yet to do them in metal I hope to acquire that confidence from this forum its all a journey for me.

Welcome Colbra!

Feel free to post pictures of your past work, even if it's in wood. We have a "woodworking" section on the forum as several of our members are also woodworkers.

I for one would love to see some of your work.
