OfflineThis was one of the first projects I built on my three in one lathe / mill. Always start out with something exceedingly difficult and work your way down to the simple stuff
. The hardest part was making the square shanked attachment for an inside radius all out of one piece of stock on a rotary table. The handle is aluminum the rest 3/4" and 1" steel plate. It has brass bushings in the swivels and fits my 250 QCTP. I haven't got around to putting a height adjustment screw on it as I usually just pull it up to center and lock it in place. Sorry about the fuzzy pic I'm not real steady yet taking pics
.
The center of the swivel is exactly 0.500" from the edge of the swiveling inside part and from that edge I measure to set my depth, adding or subtracting 0.500" as needed. The top of the tool bit is centered on the tool on both pieces. I use a v shaped 3/8" carbide tool bit. I drilled the toolbit holder on the swivel part and filed it square with a square file.

OfflineAl I really like that it proves that things don't have to be perfect and polished to get the job done
!!
My turner will do an approximate 3.5" diameter I believe? I'll try to get some better pics tomorrow.
Kudos on your functional radius turner !! I'd like to see more stuff like that !!

OfflineTenn, how are you sizing your photos? I noticed that they are very small and they don't expand when clicked (i.e. like HarborFreights first and 3rd pictures do). Can you change the settings on your camera so that the pictures are slightly larger? They will be resized to a thumbnail, but then expand when clicked. They should still be under 1mb in size, but a little bigger would be nice.
@HF, whenever you get that image error message it means that the forum software didn't auto-populate the width and height of the image (and thus didn't turn it into an expandable thumbnail). You can fix it by removing the offending picture and re-inserting (you don't have to re-upload, just re-insert the one you've already uploaded to your images folder). When you insert it the second time make sure the width and height boxes are populated and that should fix the issue.
Thanks to both for sharing your projects!

OfflineI'm still learning ?? I'll do some experimenting and see what I come up with. When I inserted my pics they took up large portion of the page so I manually shrunk them by typing in L x W sizes on the posting thingy ? Maybe that's where I went wrong ??
