I would like to buy an older copy of Machinery's Handbook or a copy of Machinist's Handbook. Reasonable price, please.

Could also use a couple of copies of The Amateur's Lathe by Sparey. Paperback or hard cover, just so cost is reasonable. Earlier editions are fine.

Not that I want to sell my 21st Edition (circa 1980), but exactly how old are you looking for John?  I can keep my eyes open if I run across something.

I'm from the UK, so I don't know what other shops might sell that book over in the US. Hopefully you can get a good deal.

When I was looking through my 21st Edition yesterday I noticed that it was marked $32 (used).  I don't remember if that's what I paid for it but they are not cheap. Admittedly, not being an educated Engineer, they are written for much smarter people than myself.   But, I've found a few things in there that I could use.

I have a copy which was iven to me…I need to knock the dust off of it as when I first recieved it I had way less knowlege about machining than now…not that I really know much.  Any knowlege is alot when compared to nothing!

I just got a CD copy of 1956 Machinery's Handbook from this site http://www.addall.com/ for $10 US They also had hardcopies of the book at various prices and year models.
