I get my sheet steel from my local metaland store in the Barossa Valley.  You should be able to get .8mm steel from any local shop.

 

My 3 in 1 is ideal for .8mm steel.  That is what they are recommended.  And mine is going great.  No problems whatsoever.

 

What panel work are  you doing??
